Today I decided to brave Oxford Street to do some window shopping and was pleasantly surprised at how calm it was. Not sure if it was due to the torrential rain earlier but there was hardly anyone around. Just as with my commute, it seems that the millions of visitors are not really having much impact in daily life :-) So I took my time and visited my favourite makeup counters.
SUQQU has been growing steadily in the past few years and Selfridges finally moved the counter to main beauty hall, right next to the Kanebo Sensai counter. It looks very stylish and airy and I'm glad they have the recognition the brand deserves. They have a really nice GWP now, available for purchases over £150 and it includes two towels; one for the face (100% cotton) and one for the body (100% polyester) and small bottles of essential oils: grapefruit and lavender. The towels are both relatively big and soft and the oils smell divine.
The only news I didn't enjoy much was that the loyalty card scheme changed and now you can only accrue stamps (1 per £65 spent) with skincare and base makeup purchases, the point makeup was removed from the loyalty card. Not very nice. I hardly use SUQQU skincare and it will now take me a very long time to get enough stamps for the musculate massage cream :-(
