NARS pink blushers: Gaiety vs. Mata Hari vs. Desire vs. Angelika [review, swatches]

NARS has quite a nice offer of bright pink powder blushers.  Gaiety arrived this Spring to keep company to the already extensive collection of Angelika, Desire and Mata Hari. I love all of them! People (MUAs) keep telling me I have a warm skin tone and with all the redness in my cheeks I should stay away from pinks, especially cool ones. But I'm stubborn and I keep on buying and using them, and to be honest I do like the look of them in my face. So feel free to slag me off for crimes against makeup application. Back to the NARS blushers, here they are in alphabetical order so no-one feels shunned.

NARS cool pink powder blush: Angelika, Desire, Gaiety, Mata Hari

Angelika is a bright cotton candy pink with gold shimmer, it's very similar to Desire apart from the shimmer. Desire is matte. They are both fun to use and perfect for doll-like cheeks. Mata Hari leans towards mauve and is a touch darker than Desire. It's completely matte and I find it one of the most powdery of NARS blushers. It requires more blending and a light hand. Gaiety is the completely different from all other 3. It's a  very sheer, clear pink with a lavender undertone. It's so pretty - it was love at first sight and I ignored all advise from the makeup artist. I'm glad I did because this is a gorgeous blush for a fresh Spring look.

Since I bought it I've been using Gaiety at least once a week, it's my favourite Spring blush.

How about you, do you have a favourite Spring blush?
