Wow that's a long title! Dolce & Gabbana just released new shades for their passion duo lipsticks and what to I do? Well, not hard to guess give the title. I already wrote at length how much I like these lipsticks, so as soon as they called me from the counter to tell me about the launch, I booked an appointment. The new releases are mostly nudes and pinks but they also include two stunning bright shades: one red and one orange. Both are perfect for summer, but since I was going out for dinner I chose to use the red 180 Fatale for a look.

The formula remains the same, pigmented cream with a glossy core and still retains the rose scent (more subtle than their other lipstick ranges). Fatale is a very pretty strawberry red, without strong pink, blue or orange undertones. It fades to a persistent stain and you'll need a good makeup remover to erase all traces of red.

The makeup artist on the Harrods counter, Stella, gave me a quick look using the lipstick as the central focus. I really liked the outcome and loved staying in the air conditioning for that half hour (oh the heat, can't live with it, can't live without it!). I'm very happy at myself for being well behaved and leaving only with this lipstick even though I liked the bright orange so much.

Look details: creamy foundation (80) with a dusting of powder foundation (90); rosebud blush on the cheeks; glow bronzing powder to contour under cheekbones;  golds quad on the eyes: ivory applied all over lid and brought down to under-eye, matte brown to define the crease and light gold over lid; coffee eyeliner on the top lashline and 2 layers of secret eyes mascara.

Thank you for reading :-)
